As long as by focusing on this thing, you are motivated and inspired to study and learn more, then use it. Focusing your mind on your studies can be difficult, especially if you have a demanding life, with responsibilities and commitments that take up the greater part of your day, not to mention your thoughts. However having a focus on your studies is also essential to ensure any real and lasting results. Even as little as 1 hour per day, of focus on your studies can produce great fruits if stuck to over a period. So try in amidst all else that is going on, have some focus on your studies. Here are some tips and tricks of how to get the most from using Imani’s Website and Study Guide Resources & Tools[1] Read Imani’s Advice, Preparing to Study[2] Study each topic separately.[3] Set up a study schedule for a defined period, e.g. 6 weeks.[4] You can decide on any length of time to study, in accordance with your other commitments, however a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 3 months or 12 weeks should be adhered to for each topic to be studied.[5] Remember you are only building or setting up a foundation, to gain a broader knowledge base, each topic can and should become a lifetime study and even after this, you would still need more time to know everything concerning it.[6] Complete your schedule and study plan, e,g. how many books you wish to read or time you will spend reading, watching video’s etc. (this will determine what you can realistically learn and achieve over this period).[7] It is suggested that to get any realistic benefit from this research or your study plan you must allocate a minimum of 1 hour per day to your study, e.g. 1hr x 7 days = 7hrs x 6 weeks = approximately 42 hours of study per topic. The movement was initiated in the 1880s when South African mission workers began forming independent all-African churches, such as the Tembu tribal church (1884) and the Church of Africa (1889). An ex-Wesleyan minister, Mangena Mokone, was the first to use the term when he founded the Ethiopian Church (1892).Imani’s Note: As the above definition states Ethiopianism is an idea or concept that focuses on Ethiopia. Nevertheless what is very important to note is that no country in this world existed, called Ethiopia until 1930. A fact not normally understood, but very significant in understanding the importance of both the term Ethiopianism as well as the actual modern county of Ethiopia today and its potential role in the future of Africa, not to mention the world.This focus or idea of Ethiopianism is the foundation upon which many individuals and groups emerged out of, in the 19th and 20th century, both in Africa and in the Diaspora. Time is the Master, but can be a Disaster if you Don’t Care, a most fitted line from a popular reggae song, time, nothing can not happen before the time. This is the case with Ethiopianism, although now not even in the minds or on the agenda, of people, it is only now and the generations born and people living after 1975 that this idea can truly be understood and utilized as a frame of mind that can literally change this world.[/su_tab] [su_tab title=”AIM”]What is the purpose of Studying this subject? Learning about Ethiopianism as it developed in the African Black world can be very interesting and important to any investigator. However there are two main strands of this Ethiopianism both having their own objective, although producing similar if not identical results. There is Ethiopianism from a political perspective or from a religious or spiritual perspective. The latter is much more easier to define and therefore research as most or a lot of this has been documented, due to the success at the time of individuals and groups drawing from this idea.
However the religious and spiritual although defined easily in some instances, such as it’s specific use in the development of the early African lead church’s on the continent particularly South Africa, and possibly as a impetus for the Rasta faith. This aspect of Ethiopianism is a lot more allusive, as it is a well known fact that a form of Ethiopianism existed amongst African Slaves throughout the New World, from the outset. This Ethiopianism is possibly even more significant than that that is more extensively documented. It’s form was in association, meaning enslaved Africans from all over West & Central Africa representing hundreds of different tribes, (clans or families), dispersed throughout the Caribbean, North & South America, identified themselves as Ethiopian, the only collective term other than African to be used by these diverse enslaved African. This is mostly evident from the secretive religious meetings and groups that were set up by slaves, that included Ethiopia in their name, obvious many years before any real Ethiopia existed, and was due to the fact that the only material available to them at the time was the Bible, which they even had to learn and read in secret. It is from reading this book that many without coercion or indoctrination, clearly identified themselves as Ethiopians. Knowledge, researching of all these aspects of Ethiopian’s can give us a very good insight into the significance of this particular idea, today in our 21st Century.[/su_tab] [su_tab title=”POINTS”]Imani’s Key Points
